Indigenous Art Centre (IAC) multi-year funding (2019-23)

Arts Queensland’s Indigenous Art Centre (IAC) multi-year funding (2019-2023) is part of the Queensland Government’s Backing Indigenous Arts (BIA) Initiative.

The fund supports the development of sustainable and ethical Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts industries in Queensland, and aims to:

  • strengthen Indigenous Art Centres in Queensland

  • support local communities’ access to quality visual arts and cultural activities

  • support career opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and arts workers.

Who can apply?

IAC funding is delivered through a targeted application process. Indigenous Art Centres that currently receive IAC multi-year funding (2015-2019) are eligible to apply. These include:

  • Badu Art Centre

  • Bana Yirriji Art and Cultural Centre, Wujal Wujal

  • Erub Arts, Darnley Island

  • Girringun Aboriginal Art Centre, Cardwell

  • HopeVale Arts and Cultural Centre

  • Lockhart River Art Centre

  • Mornington Island Art

  • Moa Arts, Mua Island

  • Pormpuraaw Art and Culture Centre Inc

  • Wei’Num Arts Hub, Weipa

  • Wik and Kugu Art Centre, Aurukun

  • Yalanji Arts, Mossman Gorge

  • Yarrabah Arts and Cultural Precinct

  • Gab Titui Cultural Centre, Thursday Island

  • Indigenous Art Centre Alliance.
