Soils of the Burnett River Riparian Lands - Gayndah - Perry River Section - BRRL

This publication set documents a soil and land suitability survey of the Burnett River riparian lands in the Burnett Mary region. The study area covers parts of the Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Mount Perry, Gayndah and Childers 1:100,000 topographic key map sheets (9147, 9146, 9247, 9246, and 9347). The survey examined approximately 125,317 hectares of land and mapped it at a moderate scale (1:50,000). The landscape was assessed using a fuzzy modelling approach and 959 observations were made using a traverse sampling strategy. 14 soil pedons were identified. A land suitability framework was developed for the survey area, assessing 12 land management options against 13 potential limitations
