Acid sulfate soils map
This is an acid sulfate soils map for the Airlie Beach area of North Queensland. It shows the presence of, type of, and average depth to acid sulfate soil layers in polygons interpreted as relatively homogeneous acid sulfate environments. A combination of soils description, laboratory testing, elevation and geology data, and API (air photo interpretation) was used to construct the map.
This map can be viewed in Google Earth via the Queensland Globe. It can also be downloaded in spatial data format. For more information visit [Open Data Queensland], (http://www.data.qld.gov.au).
