Drones in Tourism
The Department of Innovation, Tourism Industry Development and the Commonwealth Games (DITID) commissioned the University of Queensland Business School’s TOUR 7040 Work Integrated Learning 2019 Group Project Placement students to conduct a desk-based research study on the use of drones to explore issues and opportunities to support Queensland tourism businesses.
The report provides a good insight into the future of drone technology, including the characteristics of drone technology suitable for the tourism industry, potential application for tourism, and some ideas on how to better support businesses in taking up these opportunities.
