ID Scanning Minimum Technical Requirements

The Queensland Government’s Tackling Alcohol-Fuelled Violence Legislation Amendment Act 2016 is a comprehensive plan to deal with alcohol and drug-related violence. It aims to change the current culture, restore responsibility and respect, and make it clear that bad behaviour will not be tolerated in and around Queensland nightspots. Networked ID scanners have been identified as a necessary tool for police and licensees to enforce banning notices/orders and also assist police in apprehending offenders.
