Statement of regulatory intent—security of doors on electronic gaming machines
This statement of regulatory intent relates to the requirement under the Gaming Machine Regulation 2002 (the Regulation) to secure the door of an Electronic Gaming Machine (EGM). It is intended the requirement will not be enforced in stated circumstances for a period of 18 months from 1 December 2023 to 31 May 2025 for Category 1 (hotel) and Category 2 (club) gaming licensees.
