Queensland predicted soil bicarbonate-extractable phosphorus - map (Stage 3)
This map shows the predicted inherent bicarbonate - extractable (Colwell P) phosphorus concentration (mg P / kg) of the surface soil (0 - 0.1 m). The data does not represent the current P status in cropped fields. The bicarbonate-extractable P map was produced by fitting a Cubist model between data point observations of P and spatial environmental covariate data which represent factors of soil formation. Based on the model relationships at these points, Colwell P was predicted across the study area.
This map is a product of Stage 3 of the project and was completed in 2022. Stage 3 covers the following areas south of the Gulf and Cape York Natural Resource Management Regions: Fitzroy, Burnett, Southeast, Darling Downs and Balonne – Maranoa, Burdekin, Herbert, Wet Tropics, Atherton Tablelands, Mitchell grasslands of the Thompson and the Channel Country.
The spatial data used to make this map is available via the Queensland Spatial Cataloge. For more information visit Open Data Queensland, www.data.qld.gov.au.
