The Queensland Arts Showcase Program was announced in the 2015-16 State Budget and started on 1 September 2015.

This new program is being rolled out through three streams: Arts Ignite, Arts Illuminate and Arts Impact.

The Queensland Arts Showcase Program aims to provide a vibrant and accessible arts and cultural sector in Queensland that connects with and develops new audiences. It also focuses on creating employment and training opportunities for Queensland based artists and arts workers while supporting collaborations to provide quality arts and cultural experiences.
