This radiation safety standard sets out the minimum requirements for premises in which ionising radiation sources are used to carry out a radiation practice, or in which radioactive substances are stored. Premises may comprise:
• a room or an area within a room, building or other structure in which a radiation source is used to carry out a radiation practice
• a room, building or other structure where radioactive substances are stored.
