Soils and agricultural land suitability of the Lakeland District, North Queensland

This publication set describes the soils and land resources of the Lakeland District in Cape York, Far North Queensland. The mapping covers parts of the Butchers Hill, Coamey Creek, Mount McCormack and Sussex Range 1: 50,000 map sheets (7866-2,7866-4, 7866-1, 7866-3). Approximately 58,363 hectares of land were mapped at 1:50,000 scale between 2017 and 2018. 320 sites were assessed using the free survey method and fifty four Soil Profile Classes were identified.
