Arts Queensland’s Backing Indigenous Art - Indigenous Festivals (BIAIF) multi-year funding (2020-2023) is part of the Queensland Government’s Backing Indigenous Arts (BIA) Initiative.

The fund supports the development of sustainable and ethical Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts industries in Queensland, and aims to:

• strengthen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts in Queensland
• support communities’ access to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and cultural activities
• increase business and cultural tourism opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and arts workers.

Who can apply?

The following organisations are eligible to apply for BIAIF multi-year funding:

• Cairns Indigenous Art Fair Limited – Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF)
• Ang-Gnarra Aboriginal Corporation – Laura Aboriginal Dance Festival
• Torres Shire Council – Winds of Zenadth Cultural Festival
