This publication set is a land systems survey of the Leichhardt-Gilbert area of North West Queensland. 117,000 square miles (303,000 square kilometres) of landscape has been mapped at a broad scale of 1:1,000,000 and discussed in terms of its climate, geology, geomorphology, soils, and vegetation. A discussion of contemporary land use and management issues also features.
