Western Arid Region Land Use Study (WARLUS), Western Queensland Part 5 - FWA2

This publication set is a reconnaissance land systems study of approximately 9 million hectares (90,000 square kilometres) of pastoral land in Western Queensland, centered on Longreach. The area is part of the Great Artesian Basin comprising portions of the Eromanga Basin. The survey was carried out to provide an inventory of the land resources of the area: soils, vegetation, land systems and current land use. Soils and vegetation categories were mapped at a scale of 1:500,000 and 38 land systems were described.
