Draft master plan – Priority Port of Abbot Point
The development of a master plan for the priority Port of Abbot Point is mandated under the Sustainable Ports Development Act 2015. The master plan strikes a balance between the sustainable development of the port and the long-term protection of environmental and cultural values, including the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. It recognises the critical role the priority ports play in the state and regional economies as a major trading asset with connections to regional communities that rely on Queensland’s existing and emerging industries.
