Soil Survey of the Auburn River Area, Central Queensland - ARD

This publication set is a soil survey of an area of the Auburn and Burnett River catchments, Central Queensland. The study area covered part of the Mundubbera (9146) 1:100,000 mapsheet, extending five kilometres either side of the Burnett and Auburn Rivers from Mundubbera to a possible dam site approximately 18 kilometres upstream from where the Auburn River meets the Burnett River. Approximately 28,700 hectares of land were mapped at 1:50,000 scale and land suitability for a range of crops was evaluated. Over 500 sites were assessed using the free survey method and 23 soils were identified.
