Soils and agricultural land suitability of the Giru area, North Queensland

Summary: This publication set describes the soils and land resources of the Giru area in the Burdekin, North Queensland. The mapping covers parts of the Bowling Green and Giru 1: 50,000 map sheets (8358-4, 8359-3). Approximately 9,112 hectares of land were mapped at 1:25,000 scale between 2005 and 2006. 400 sites were assessed using the free survey method and seventy four Soil Profile Classes were identified.
