Soil survey of the Burdekin River Irrigation Area, North Queensland, Jardine section - JFD

This publication set is a soil survey of the Burdekin River Irrigation Area, Jardine section, North Queensland. The study area covers parts of the Giru and Ayr (8358-4 and 8358-1) 1:50,000 map sheets. Approximately 5,800 hectares of land were mapped at a scale of 1:25,000 and land suitability for a range of crops was evaluated. Approximately 900 sites were assessed using the free survey method and 38 soils were identified. This project is part of a series conducted across the Burdekin River Irrigation Area. No report accompanies the mapping.
