Soil survey of the Mossman-Julatten Area, Far North Queensland - MJA

This publication set is a soil survey of the Mossman-Julatten area, Far North Queensland. The study area covers parts of the Rumula and Mossman (7964 and 7965) 1:100,000 map sheets. Approximately 105,000 hectares of land were mapped at a scale of 1:50,000 (Murtha, 1989) and land suitability for a range of crops was evaluated in a subsequent project (Wilson, 1991). Sites were assessed using the free survey method and 47 soils were identified.
