Banding mill by-products – representative economic analysis, Burdekin region
The report examines the profitability of conventionally spreading and banding mill by-products (mud) at different application rates on sugarcane farms in the Burdekin. The study determines the main cost drivers and the associated cost savings when applying mud and draws upon harvest data from four trial sites during the 2014-15 season to compare the profitability of different mud treatments.
