Chapter 4.2 - Witnessing Queensland and Commonwealth statutory declarations
Statutory declarations are written statements declaring something is true and correct. They carry a degree of formal authority that statements with only a signature do not. How you do this is described in this chapter of the Duties of Justices of the Peace (Qualified) and Commissioners for Declarations handbook.
