01/24 - Witnessing Commonwealth statutory declarations
The federal government has recently introduced legislation to permanently allow Commonwealth statutory declarations to be witnessed by video link. This means people will no longer need to be in the physical presence of an approved witness.
All Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations are approved witnesses under the Commonwealth Statutory Declarations Act 1959.
