Discussion paper 1—Options for legislating against coercive control and the creation of a standalone domestic violence offence
The Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce released its first discussion paper sought community opinion on how best to legislate against coercive control as a form of domestic and family violence. The paper also examines the need to create a new offence of ‘commit domestic violence’ in Queensland law and offers a range of options for discussion.
The consultation period for this paper has now closed.
