Executive Summary BYDC-CYDC-WMYDC Inspection Report, June 2022

This is a joint report of quarterly statutory inspections of Brisbane, Cleveland, and West Moreton Youth Detention Centres (BYDC, CYDC, and WMYDC). The on-site inspections occurred from 30 May to 3 June 2022 at CYDC, 6 to 10 June 2022 at WMYDC, and 20 to 24 June 2022 at BYDC. Statutory detention centre inspections are conducted by delegated inspectors, located within Learning and Development, Department of Children, Youth Justice, and Multicultural Affairs (DCYJMA). This report is provided to the Director-General and aims to contribute to improving youth detention centre operations.
