Executive Summary - BYDC, CYDC, & WMYDC Inspection Report March 2023

This is a summary of the youth detention inspection report from March 2023 of the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre (BYDC), Cleveland Youth Detention Centre (CYDC), and West Moreton Youth Detention Centre (WMYDC). Statutory detention centre inspections are conducted by delegated Inspectors from Quality and Improvement within the Department of Youth Justice on a quarterly basis. The focus area of this inspection was staff including induction and training for professional officers, supervision processes, and wellness support.
